My Yellow convict pair 02 has a fry again which means old fry is gone ! I should have removed them. I feel terrible but its too late. These guys breed like hell. Also its so easy to pair them up. These Yellow convicts are not picky about their mates unlike Severums.
also unlike Severums or Discus fish they don't have to waste first few batches of eggs to gain experience how to get it correct. They are not aggressive in normal conditions but they do get really aggressive when they spawn.

Yellow convicts are pretty fish - they also sound like a good starter fish since they aren't very fussy.

Well yeah they are good starter fish. No aggression towards their mates so pairs gets well along. Too bad they don't make a good community fish. The reason they spawn too often and all the time and they get very aggressive toward other fish.
